Travis is a second-generation Smyrna native. He grew up in present-day Ward 3, off Lake Drive, and appreciates how Smyrna has grown into the great community it is today. Travis attended Smyrna grade schools, graduated from Campbell High School, and earned a Communications degree from the University of West Georgia. Today, Travis now resides on Concord Lake Lane in Concord Lake Village.
As a small business owner who has co-founded three local businesses, Travis understands the daily impact our local government has on our community and on our lives. He understands the importance of accountable government, quality schools, maintaining lower taxes, and a safe community.
Travis is a current appointee to City of Smyrna Downtown Development Authority and the Cobb Chamber of Commerce. He is an active member of Smyrna First United Methodist Church, and serves in a key leadership role at the church where he has been a member since 1986. Additionally, he serves as the Concord Lake Village Home Owners Association President and has since 2015.
Travis is a travel enthusiast. He has been fortunate to visit world wonders such as Macchu Picchu, the Roman Colosseum, and Victoria Falls. He was honored to visit the Holy Land, has climbed the Sydney Harbor Bridge, and recently went on an up close and personal safari tour in South Africa. When he’s not working or traveling, Travis enjoys his time with family and friends, his dachshunds - Zeus and Maggie - and gardening.
